Is my BOV leaking??

first off i got a 2g stock bov still hooked up. What are the symptoms to look for to tell if your BOV is having trouble holding boost besides that occasionally I cant get to 14psi on my gauge? Im getting a bucking feeling when I got WOT too fast, and got the same feeling at about 6k rpm in 4th gear last night. Im asking cause i got a 1g bov to install but no uicp pipe yet. I got about 70 to spend so I could either get the brode uicp and finally hook up my 1g bov or i could spend it on new NGK sparks and wires which might also be my problem.

for the bucking i would say its your plugs and wires. The stock BOV sucks and it wont cause your car to buck it will just leak out and youll see your boost go down. Get that 1G in there and youll be fine as far as the boost goes. I have the 1G BOV and its been great.

The 2G bov usually starts leaking at 13-14 PSI so if you get a 1G (or any) BOV it wont leak at 14. Get new plugs (NGK BRP6ES only) and wires if there old, like dsm4life said. Also try running a bottle of injector cleaner, maybe your injectors are a little clogged. Good luck!

The plugs shouldn't run you any more than $10 at most. I would go ahead and get those asap and you can probably worry about the wires later.

Man honestly ive been looking for the bpr6es for like 2 weeks now, Kragen doesnt have them, autozone doesn carry NGK and pepboys id rather not discuss the moron I was forced to communicate with, needless to say after telling me he had them 4 times he finally says oh wait no we dont, sorry . No one seems to know what Im talking about when I say Bpr6es i just get this really stupid look like "Maybe if i look really confused then offer him some platinum bosch plugs he will forget what he just asked me." So ive given up for now, was gonna just order em online.

I get mine from advanced auto. They never have them in stock but they always get them for me the next day. I get the 7es but i don't see why the 6's would be any harder to get.

Depending on how much your BOV is leaking, it could be leaking too much boost causing you to run rich and bog. As for holding boost, my 2g BOV wouldnt' let me go above like 13 psi ever. New BOV fixed it. If you are strapped for cash and can't afford the UICP, I have the adaptor for sale that hooks the 1g BOV into the 2g. PM me and let me know if you want it. good luck!

yea dude im strapped, you know how it is, 48 hour work weeks busting my balls and still can barely afford shit for my car, #### san diego. Im gonna save up and get the UICP cause I cant stand how stock one looks now with my new intake filter, thanks for the offer though. thanks for help guys, hopefully ill get plugs and fuel injector cleaner and that clears up my problems.
