so with the revelation in the last thread i made regarding my car and tuning (which at the current moment i think is still an issue of a sort but will go back to that at a later time) on what is going on with my car, i now have to do an engine rebuild before i can continue

I want to stay as close to OEM values as possible without having to use OEM parts (staying at OEM piston bore size etc.), so my question is, what would any of yall suggest or recommend for brands that you trust? I've been looking around maperformance at stuff and am putting a cart together for a rebuild and figured i would post a thread and see what others run or recommend to get some ideas. Any suggestions and recommendations are appreciated.

There is a literal ton of build component recommendations and it comes down to goals.
Also, availability of parts is going to be a factor too. You won't know what to order until you have the block and crank disassembled, inspected, and measured.

For instance you may not be able to get oversized versions of a particular piston and will have to switch brands due to availability, should you NEED (not want) to.

See, this is why I'm glad I put this thread uo so I don't rush headlong into this. Bolt ons were easy af to do but I felt like internals would be a lot more intricate in terms of things like this.

My goal before this was honestly to build one hell of a beast of a street car that also a track menace. So it seems like that goal hasn't changed, but is forced to have to happen a little earlier than I wanted. I don't really wanna bore the engine out or anything at least not right now, so my goal of that will have to be within the confines of the OEM measurements of everything which I'm gathering is probably going to be a bit of a pain to do, but I'm willing to do it rn
