I'm building a Miata kart with some of my friends and have the stock motor out of my 2G(swapped for a built 6bolt) with about everything I need to have it run. I have been doing a lot of reading on RWD 4G63 set ups and was wondering what you guys know.

My block is a 7 bolt(narrow block) and a few of the options I've seen are
-D50(bolts up but can't handle power)
-Starion/conquest with D50 guts
-RX7(for wide blocks only? Can hold decent power and shift at high rpm)
-TII(adapter bell housing needed)
-T5(great but hard to adapt)
-Supra trans(Wide block only? Holds decent power)
-Power glide, TH350, TH400(Buschur Racing adapter needed. This is way too much for my needs and I want a manual)

Let me know what you guys think and i'm willing to make some custom stuff but don't want a 3 month project. If I can't find something that works i'll just throw a D50 trans in and try not to break it.

That's pretty cool biglady112! Tien coilovers with a thunder bird 8.8 rear end(I might change this up a little). It'll require a custom bellhousing. I haven't talked to them at all but would be very impressed if I could get the bellhousing within a couple weeks.

New plan Found out my boss has a turbo 400 with a manual valve body and set up to run a clutch. I'll probably run that with Buschar's adapter, then use a 7bolt flywheel and pressure plate with a different disk. This is going to be fun

Ken's Kustom Chassis also makes adapters. That I who I used when I built my rat rod. It was a 6 bolt set up though.
