interior lights

I have a 1997 Gst and all of a sudden the interior lights will not turn off. The door ajar light isn't on in the dash and the dimmer switch dims the lights. They just won't turn off even when the car is running.

Is the dimmer switch rolled all the way up? Or maybe you have a broken door switch. Or the illumination wires on your stereo are shorting

Which interior lights stay on - dash, dome, foot, ign key hole?

The floor lights, the dome light and the map lights

Check door switches for shorts as they control those. Dimmer only controls dash lights.

I checked the roll switch and it isn't on. I will go through the stereo wires. My car don't have a radio or speaker I removed them. Do you think leaving the radio harness unplugged might have something to do with this?

Wouldn't think that stereo wiring have something to do with interior lights. Usually the wire is there to dim backlights in the radio when headlights are turned on.
