I recently installed a new CD player in my 98 eclipse GST. The wiring harness for the CD player didnt have illumination wire, so without thinking, I twisted those 2 wires from the car's harness together. After I made that stupid mistake I lost lighting for my instrument cluster. I went in and separated the wires today and put it back together, still no instrument cluster lights. On top of that, I now have no power windows, sunroof, or instrument cluster (RPM gauge for sure). I had a check engine light as well as SRS on, and they are now not illuminated, but my door ajar light still works. The interior lights still work when the door is open, and the CD player works properly. I've checked fuses and from my quick run-through of them, they all seem to be in working order. I'm at a loss of what to do, and it seems as though my stupid mistake with the CD player has opened a can of worms. Any help would be much appreciated!!!

To my knowledge, I know that there are 1: A "Anti-theft audio system" and 2: if you have a aftermarket stereo and you have the "Infinity audio system" in our cars, They do not work well with each other, that are hard-wired into the Dash/interior harness of the car itself. Now if you messed with anything in that nature, it's a pain to work it out....

I'm going to run through the fuses again today, but its just so odd that these issues arose now. Ive put a couple different decks in that car over the past 2 years and all has been well...until now of course. I'm not too sure what could have gone wrong if its not a blown fuse, any suggestions would be helpful

Im in for an answer to this as well. Previous owner of my car installed an aftermarket cd player with the Infinity speakers. I have no power to the windows/sunroof/tach LOL.

Ill have to double check my fuses tomorrow.

Its so odd that I've already had 2 other decks in it and had no issues, now all of a sudden it goes haywire...sounds like I'm not alone though
