OK so I'm in the process of rerouting my ic piping and shortening it. I was wondering if anyone had any idea's on how I can route my passenger pipe into the intercooler.

is all the piping 2.5? including the outlet of the intercooler?

Look like you need two 90 degree couplers. One placed to it forced the up form the intercooler and one that bends it again to the short route pipe. Idk if that is the most efficient way to route the piping, less bends less restriction. If you dont have enough play room, you might want to look into hump coupler for the upper piping so you can have some play below.

If I were you, I would shorten the pipe that comes though the radiator bracket hole ("D" shape), cut the outlet of the intercooler and have it rewelded so it meets the height of the sort route piping. Then all you need is one 90 degree bend. I know this might not be an option for everyone but its probable the best solution.

goodluck

I figured out what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna cut the x I marked on the u pipe and then couple the u back together with a straight coupler then use a 90 coupler to join the upper pipe to the the modded u bend.

you could just use two silicon short 90's. one going straight up off of the intercooler and one going over to the hard pipe. this would be a little easier and space saving i think

Well the problem with that is that the ic has a 3in outlet and my piping is 2.5. And the angles won't line up with the couplers since 3 in to 2.5 reducer 90s are larger then normal 90s.

Ya I thought about using those adapters but from siliconeintakes.com but I realized that the upper pipe comes out 2in off set from the ic and the couplers wouldn't line up. LOL it's so hard to explain this online.

How did you route your drivers side piping? i'm trying to redo my piping now and this is extremely similar to my setup. any pics?

Shorten pipe get a bend, thats what i would do i have the pr short route set up so its different but i would find a coupler looks like 45 degree bend. That should work just work some more with it.

Did you ever figure out how to route the piping? I'm in the same situation with almost identical piping so I was gonna see how u solved it, I thought about getting an aluminum elbow welded onto the intercooler that points directly towards the engine but idk if I want to go through the hassle. Might just cut some out of the support and do it that way

I searched for a while before i got my fmic, so glad i got what i got, makes my piping a piece of cake two pipes 5 couplers for entire set up. The pr fmic is short route tried the other set up said forget it. Hope he figures it out.

Well my ic setup came with the car and the way it was routed before was just awful and I've added a Tial bov. So I'm tryin to modify it to be more efficient. Just trying to save me some money if at all possible
