winnipeg,
Ok ive looked around and could not find what im looking for. Im trying to get the intake cam gear of the cam so i can access the cam position sensor because of the stupidity of the 95-96 cps positioning. I've already desroyed a 3/8" socket wrench and the 1/2" wont fit inbetween the bolt and the strut tower. So basically what i'm asking is dun dun dun is the bolt reverse threaded because i have bloody nuckles broken wrenches and soar hands. Thanks its tsi by the way

Or even a 17mm wrench with a 3' pipe on the end of it will get the job done. Just make sure you have a cresent wrench on the cam itself because if you are using the timing belt to hold the cam, it will end up loosing a few teeth.

Well thanks guys, I got it of. If you want the exact method of opperation, I used a 17mm wrench and the length of exaust pipe inbetween a Fireflys cat and the bend that goes to the exaust. The manual says the torque specs are about 60 foot pounds but if my physics serves me correctly my 130 pound friend with his feet off the ground and a 4 foot extension makes about 520 foot pounds at the bolt. There was no tread lock or any thing either.
Thanks again. Car should be running by tuesday at the latest.
