I don't know how this can be, but my exhaust cam gear is sticking out further than the intake. I made sure that I marked each one prior to taking them off.

Does this mean that the cams are not lined up right? They look straight on the GVR4. I haven't torqued them down completely, but I get the feeling this is not right.

Thanks for any info.

Will get back with you. I assume that they are facing the right way. I thought that the inside and outside would look different. Will double check and report back.

You are correct, the inside and outside have nothing in common. One side has a deep hole in it and the other doesn't. I should have known better.

Happens to the best of us! On a side note, if your going to have this car for a while, do something to make it easier in the future, for example: Mark the cam gears facing outward with I and E, that way you know which side faces out and which one was where. It just makes things easier

Thank you. I just marked one of them "E", but went no futher. Maybe EO would have done it. I tend to post my mistakes alot so I can just come back years later and find the same mistake that I made with the same resolution LOL.
