Hey guys...well i got a Stage 3 TMO eprom chip...and tonight i was driving along...and it threw a code 13...which happens to be the Intake air temperature sensor. I dont know much about this sensor...i believe its located in the MAS? Is there anyway to fix it? Or should i buy a whole nother mas? right now im running a 1g mas thats hacked (just lower honeycomb removed) ...other then that it seemed to be working well. It only throws this code when its really really cold out...and it will only throw it for bout 20 seconds...then it wont come back on? Should i worry about it? Lemme know your thoughts.

i forgot to tell u that i cleared it the 1st night it did it which was 3 nights ago...now just tonight (another very cold night)...it came back on me..

Maybe the plug isn't making good contact when cold, play with the plug and see if it helps. If you plan on going bigger, this might be a great opportunity to upgrade to a 2G mas.

Is there any ill side effects to this sensor going bad? What problems can this cause?

I'm pretty sure that Volume Air Flow Sensor, Intake Air Temperature Sensor and Barometric Pressure Sensor all contribute to the ECU calculation of air count.

my CEL is on as well and threw this code. in my haynes manual it stated when these go bad it sets the sensor at a default reading of 77 degrees. if its colder than 77 outside it will run rough and use more fuel. if the ambient temp is above 77 you probably wont notice a difference. the mas air sensor from mitsu is $500. better off looking for a used one.. (what im doing in my case)
