code 13. where in is the air temp sensor??

K I have a code 13 and Is the air temp with the maf? Turbo won't spool in first gear unless I floor it, and second gear shakes a lot until boost hits. Would this be it? It also has a small crack on the exshaust mani.

Yeah its in the MAF. Have you done a Boost Leak Test?

Define "Small crack", this will cause the slow spool up...

Try unplugging your Maf and seeing if anything different happens, if not, most likely your Maf is the problem

Well its a hair type a crack, it looks like they tried to fix it but it looks like crap. I can see lil smoke coming out of the hood everytime I park somewhere. And about the maf, is it a sure thing is the maf when the 'air temp sensor' code pops up? Any links that would help me to test the maf? And would a 2.0 n/a maf work if I buy a uses maf?

K well I disconected the maf and the car ran worse. I wounder what else or where is the air temp sensor. Any other ideas?

i would take care of that crack in your exhaust manifold and do a proprer boost leak test, And do you have a manual boost controller? if so it might be hooked up wrong.

No I don't have a manual boost controler. See the thing is tht I just bought thise car. I sold my laser with turbo and bought me an awd turbo laser and this code poped up. The car is bone stock. And a maf is not easy to find in a junkyard for turbo models. And here at autozone the maf is 241.99 with the core, so it aint cheap . That why I wana be sure is my maf before I spend the money. And I'm working on finding another exsahust manifold.

And oh, I did the trouble shoot on the air temp sensor of the plug and it reads fine.

Ok I Am Pretty Sure Most Of Your Problem Lies In Your Cracked Manni. The Heat And Fumes That Escape The Manifold Are Greatly Changing The Air Flow Mix Coming Into Your Engine(as Most Stock Systems Pull Air From In Or Near The Engine Bay) Start By Replacing The Manifold And Go From There.

And Yes, The Mass Air Flow Is The Air Temp Sensor Too.
