$75 per month...liability only, and ill be 16 in 3 days...which sucks because my insurance rate goes up(its at $20something under my parents, the $75 is when i am 16), but at least i will finally get my license....

The GSX is $139 a month for full coverage under my mom's name with Nationwide.
The GST is $140 a month for full coverage under my mom's name with Nationwide.
I am 18 and have one ticket for speeding.

ANOTHER insurance thread?

ne ways i pay 105 a month liability on my own policy. Exhibition Driving and 1 ticket on my record, American Family insurance

<---$160 a month for just liability, no theft protection or anything :( so do the math that is close to 2000$ for pip, full coverage would be closer to $5000 (a turbo 2g would be 210 a month pip and closer to 6500 for full coverage)

AGEISM, im 17 w/ no tickets or accidents, my car is fully paid of for (i bought it not my parents so :p hehe  )

Eeer mines $180 for full coverage under my dads name (AAA). It might be cheaper then normal because we have a lot of cars and I think I have some good-student discount as well. I have only one ticket, no accidents.

I drive the speed limit if the road is pretty clear, if there is a lot of commuters then I just go with traffic. I always get hated on by my friends because I drive slow but I'd rather have my car then no car at all...California isn't the best place to mod your DSM and drive it on the streets.

when people say they are under their moms name etc does that mean the insurance company thinks their moms are driving the car when actually you are? and then your just insured on another, cheaper car? i dont get how that works.

i believe when they say that it is insured under their parents name, what they actually mean is they are insured under their parents policy. this could only be the case if they are under 21 of course. i know this was my situation, until i turned 21. under my parents policy my insurace was 220/month. under my own name it raised my premium to 330/month.

tickets included are (1) 20+ speeding, (1) 20- speeding, and (1) improper passing. thank goodness these violations occured almost 3 years ago (when i was less mature) are are about to drop off my record.

$120 a month full coverage(state farm) I am still on my moms name but my name is primary on the Eclipse. I am 22.
Tickets:

89 in 70
93 in 55
1 accident not my fault

I was quoted $151 for a GS-T Spyder When I thought I could afford one.

Why are all you guys insurance rates so high?

Mine in under my parents still and I'm 23. I pay my mom $170 a month but I called my insurance yesterday. I wanted to get a quote in case I get a new car.....well I think my mom's been ripping me off. I don't know why the company would lie to me....but the woman on the phone said my policy now is $90.10 per month.....stupid mom, WTF???.

It's Green's insurance and I've had 2 tickets...one for 50 in a 25 which bumped it up.

Mine is like $95 a month full coverage(Grange). Its under my dads name though. I am 18 with no tickets(knock on wood). He makes me pay $105 tho cuz the insurance thinks I drive a 92 Ford Ranger and thats what the comprehensive is on it.

min was $93 amonth with my GS and My T/A both have a zero deductable comp. coverage

$497/6months ($83/month)----PLPD w/ comprehensive, $100,000 personal injury per person, free road assistant/towing, $1500 bail money..

Policy in under my name (i'm 19)...good student discount, household discount, high credit rating discount, almong the usual air bag discount etc...

no tickets or accidents

halik

How the fu(k do you guys pay so little  Mine is outrageous. I'm talking about 3-5K a year pending on which company I'm with for me and my wife's cars. I'm in the middle of switching right now. When I was 18 with no tickets or accidents Insurance on my new protege was 7K a year OMG Needless to say I rode without it.

I have full tort for $140 a month with USAA under my name.

$86 a month full coverage, on my dad's policy with All State. Zero infractions and I drive a 93 GS-T. the only time I break the speed limit is maybe 2-3 times a month in the middle of no where. I "take 'er easy"

159.34/Mon, 95 Talon TSI, 94 Saab 900s, full coverage, 200 deductables, my fiacee and my self in Maine. Interestingly, the Saab is more expensive to insure than the talon after you break it down in my policy.

Damn, I could not imagine paying over $250/mon in insurance.

Intact :talon:

Around ~$80 CDN per month (full coverage), and I have a package policy that's $16 per month that gives me a $50 deductable.

my wife's 1995 tsi awd was $270 a month by itself for full coverage. under the same plan, w/ my 1992 gsx under liability, it came out to $217 a month total for both cars. i think its a multi-car discount, but that was cool

So what happens if you get into an accident and the insurance company refuses to fix your car because it's not a 92 Ford Ranger? What's the point of full coverage if you won't even be able to use it?

btw.. I pay $135 a month, full coverage here in Los Angeles. Back when I got the car, I think I was 25, I paid closer to $200 The couple tickets I have recieved I was able to clear by going to traffic school.

It's a good thing I have full coverage too since my car was hit twice last month.

check it out http://bhop73.com/stuff/crash2.jpg

It's fixed now though, even get my deductible back. :D

I pay $65/month for full coverage on a 2005 Subaru WRX. Im 22 years old with horrible driving record. How do I do it, Have an very old 74 year old relative register and insure the car in Florida when you live in another state.

As long as you do not live at the same address as the insured driver, you are covered if ever in an accident.

I used to pay $509.50 per month for insurance on a 95 GST. Never again!
