insurance on a GVR4 is gonna be dirt cheap compaired to any eclipse/talon because it has 4 doors. I would even bet that a GVR4 will be cheaper that a N/T eclipse/talon.

I know from experience because my 94 SHO is about 550 every 6 months and it was going to be 750 every 6 months to get a 95 tsi awd. the SHO is rated at more stock HP and torque but 4 door sedan always beats a coupe in the insurance game.

That's very good news to hear.

But don't insurance rates depend on the actual car? like if more teenagers were driving dodge minivans, and getting tickets all the time and totaling them then wouldn't they end up costing more insurance wise?

Thanks

I got a quote a few months ago from Geico for a 90-92 turbo dsm. It would be about $35 cheaper than what i pay on my n/t, which isn't much cheaper, but it still surprised me....so it wont be much longer before I have a turbo car. :thumb:
Oh and I'm 20

I pay $110 a month Liability on my RS. Only thing on my record is Exhibition (stupid mistake) and a speeding ticket for 9 over. I just checked the other day and when i go to get my turbo dsm it will stil lbe $110 a month, as long as its paid off. Which it will be.

American Family Insurance is what im on

$248/ month.. w. no discount. Full coverage with 1m liability.

I wonder if insurance is higher than normal because its a spyder.

I pay 300 every 6 months for full coverage with a 500 deductible on a 92 Plym Laser AWD

yea that can be true, its happening with the srt-4 right now. but with a car that is as rare as a GVR-4, i wouldnt worry about it. insurance should be cheap for one of those. maybe a GVR-4 owner could let us in on how much they pay for there car?

Mine is $700 amonth, yah amonth, it would be $8400 ayear, but a new auto insurance reform is being put inpalace in october it it will godown to 300amonth which is good here.

Mine used to be like 3400 a year for me and my wife (both 21) with full coverage on my car and here 02 focus. That was with only one ticket from 2 years ago. Mine's gonna be hella expensive when I get this year's bill :thumbdown and do spyder's do not cost extra.

Anybody with a GVR4 have any idea??

Dude, WTF. I have to pay 2200/6 months full coverage with 21st century to insure my 97 GS-T. GODDDD. :thumbdown

ummm that is completely wrong....220 a month ...MAYBE..but thats still high

Sorry was a little heated and accidently forgot to put the six in there. I'm paying about 310 a month. Which is wayyy more than my damn loan payment.

damn, do you have a bad driving record??? how old are you??? I'm 24 and I have full coverage w/ an A+ Insurer & my girl is also on. That's 2 people full coverage my car is red and it not an eagle insurance w/ low coverage, Country Insurance. $69 a month

I pay $500 every 6 months. ;) Yay for 1.8's

OMG 69 a month! What the hell is going on.

I'm 19.. have an absolutely clean record. I've been driving one year. I live with my parents.

I picked full coverage because I heard you need full if you're still making payments on the car.

This sucks.

yeah you have to have full coverage if your still paying on your car or else you could be fined by the company financing the vehicle. since you have only been driving for 1 year, you haven't had a history w/ having insurance, your car is red and your young. I would call around and see if someone could do better. try Country Insurance, see what they say or call...

Did you get my PM ???

UNIVERSAL LAW

You cannot compare insurance rates between two different people!!

Here are SOME of the factors in setting Insurance Premium:

- age

- gender

- home address

- credit score

- commute distance

- vehicle

- driving history

- insurance history

- criminal record

- homeownership

- GPA (students only)

- marrital status

- number of vehicles owned

- number of non-auto insurance policies in force

- number of drivers in household

If you can find two people that have exactly the same information listed above, then you might be able to compare premiums between two different drivers. :thumb:

Yea but when one person is paying twice to three times as much as the other for really no apparent reason then it's time to start asking questions.
