vancouver,
my exhaust manifold has recently cracked. i just bought a 2g manifold for my 1990 plymouth laser. i was wondering if somone could tell me or link me to somthing that shows how to do it(dont have enough money to pay somone) and its seems like it wouldnt be that hard. i really just need to know which bolts to tighten when and how much.

I didn't have any trouble with my 2G exhaust manifold install. I drive a 90 gst and gsx. Granted the out side holes are larger on the 2G manifold but I dont think that anything that needs real addressment for a proper install.

I would recommend picking up a new set of manifold studs; as you will brake at least one. You may have a better chance removing them with the engine warm. Its not the end of the world to run with a broken mani stud; we've all done it! It can be hard enough to pull/tap the head removing a broken stud wile the heads out and on a shop bench.

If you do happen to remove the head, remember; your local machine shop can be your best friend in this type of situation. Especially it your removal tool doesn't drill straight and you begin to remove aluminum. They can take care of you; and some times well worth the cash.

I'd avoid it if possible, but you can fined exhaust studs at Schucks if your in need of a quick fix.
