Installing an ecu?

Well after searching i found out that my car needed an ecu and i have bought a rebuilt ecu from the classifieds and is their a special way to install it like disconnecting any sensors so that the computer dosent get shocked or shorted out or can i just plug it in and go also i replaced the isc because thats what caused my problems before.

Just disconnect the negative battery cable. After that it's just plug and play. Disconnect the battery, remove the 3 mounting bolts, unplug the 3 ECU connecters, and reinstall.

Exactly. Just disconnect the battery. Rip apart the center console, unbolt the ecu, unplug it, and then do the same thing in the opposite order with the new one.

As long as the battery is unhooked you will have no issues with anything trying to short out.
