Well the install went great. Car fired right up but just like the stockers I have to add alot of fuel at idle to get to 14.7:1. Is that just a common thing when running the maft and a safc? At idle with the stockers I had the maft set to 450's and I was at like +28% to get the right AFR at idle. With the 680's(witch I was told flow more like 650's) I have the maft set at 650 and I am at +25%. then at 2000 rpm in the low throttle it goes to -6% to get the right afr. The low throttle stays about there. I just think it is weird. Anyway my other question is: My 680's seem alittle unstable at idle. They move around alot more at idle. They will stay at 14.7 for alittle bit and then go to 13.5 and then to 16 and then back to 14.7 ect.... I was told that 650's are as high as you want to go with a safc and maft. I am assuming that it is just harder for the ecu to control these injectors at idle. Am I right? Well 20psi feels nice and it is great to not see 146% IDC at 6000 rpm's. These 680's are under 100% all the way through to 7000.:thumb:

Have you done a boost leak test recently? It sounds like you might have a leak somewhere.

I made a tester and it got stolen. I need to make another. I have a stupid question about that though. When I do a boost leake test do I have to roll the timing to TDC?

Welcome to the Finicky MAF-T.

Switch to a 2G MAS if you want something consistant.

why say this? I have it on mine and it holds a perfect 14.7afr at idle with no major idle adjustments.

there is another local car with a MAFT only stock ECU running 1,000cc injectors. he is currently in the 5's @ 120+ in the 1/8 mile.

it is not always the part at fault but maybe the cars condition or the lack of effort put into tuning it.

Its a chipped stock ecu right? can you give some more details on this car.

If your useing an AFC thoughs injectors are the absolute limit you can really use. I personaly think if you were to change over to the DSMLink you woldn't have any issues.

I myself am useing 750cc injectors w/ DSMLink and the car runs better than ever. And is easy enough a highschool rice boy could use it.
