Well, as you may know.. I just bought my car and picked it up Saturday.

Car can be seen here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...=4607045814&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1

Owning a DSM has been a learning experience for me (a big one)

Car has Godzilla 16g Turbo (running 11psi~ no boost controller)
Greddy FMIC (not sure what size)
720CC Injectors
a blue color FPR (not sure what kind)
Boost Gauge, and A/F Ratio Gauge

When i got the car, it ran OK but when you did WOT it had something like fuel cut like it was dumping a shit ton of fuel and cutting out...

Well today I hooked up the SAFC that came with the car, we put low throttle to 30 percent and high to 85, did some other stuff, pulled like -30 percent fuel out, and such

It runs like shit up to 3,000 rpm, but once it hits 3000RPM it pulls HARD, way better then when i got the car

by the way, ever since I got the car, the A/F gauge has barley been on, one red light on the lean side, and when i gas it it gets a lil brighter and it works sometimes like randomly will go about halfway into the green(nominal mix)...

We did a few pulls with the SAFC hooked up, just messing around with stuff, did the basic settings...

some things I noticed...

Hz for the karman senosor stayed solid at 3hz, and for AFL: 0 (stays at 0?!?) and on the digital the Tach works, but the Air stays at 0 (on the gauge)????

Well my car had a CEL when i got it, and it went off for a while, now today I hooked up SAFC did a few pulls, and it came back on.... When I scanned it, it came up P0100 (MAF or VAF Circuit malfunction)

There was 2 codes saved for that (p0100)

I didn't wire my SAFC, couple of my friends did.. they did it with the manual

I didn't delete them, I just let them be....

Now my questions to you guys would be:

Do you think my MAF is bad??

I'm also getting pocket logger and a Palm III PDA
Should I get the EPROM and a chip for 720s also??

This one guy said, Palm, Pocket Logger, and Eprom ECU w/ stock chip and chip for 720s for 350 bucks.....

At this point im unsure of what to do...

Also My Fuel Pressure Regulator has No vaccum line running to it?!?!

The solenoid for the Fuel Pressure Regulator has a cap off on the firewall (cap over nipple)

So please, any advice, ideas, or any suggestions at all, at this point would help....

I was going to take it to SlowBoy to get dynotuned tomorrow but with the MAF code, I don't wanna get all the way there and have them tell me my MAF is broke....

also, here's some pics of the install:

Thanks in advance for any one who could send me in the right direction....

Well I see I installed it totally wrong (SAFC) from the manual, So first thing tomorrow, Im doing it by the diagram posted above....

The pink and orange wires aren't even hooked up, No wonder I could tke out -50% fuel and it still runs haha.

You live, you learn, it is said, when you stop living, you stop learning, and when you stop learning, you are dead.

Some people have told me to give up on this car, I never give up.

If you have aim, and would like to shoot me an Im to tell me im a moron or help me either way its

AIM: RockyMiaVia724

Thanks again guys

your gst has drum brakes in the rear?????????????

anyway, your maf is reading 3hz all the time? or just when you have the key turned in the ACC position?

if its reading 3hz,then your maf isnt connected right.

Nah bro I had that problem before. If it's reading 3hz your wiring is wrong. I'll give you the keys to my 2g if that's not the problem.

"Cut the wire at terminal 90 in half but leave enough on both ends to play with. Attach the ecu side of the end of the cut to the pink Super AFCII wire. Connect the harness end to the orange Super AFCII wire."

I'm almost certain you put those on backwards, the wording is tough to understand on their part.

The reason it's running so horrible is because you cut the airflow signal in half---

Yeah, that is def. correct, exille. We spliced the wrong wires in the AFC lines.

Thanks man!

Going to fix it now!

Well i got some used 450s from a friend, put those in

hooked up the SAFC right, and put 0 correction....

Now the car wont start!??! and the injecs are leaking a bit at the bottom seal...

any ideas??

I also hooked up a vac line to the fpr...

put SAFC to 0% all across the board , until you get a logger.

There isn't much you can do with an SAFC that will prevent you from starting.

Explain to us what's happening when you try to start, is it cranking? clicking? or just nothing at all?

your injectors are leaking? you are drawing in Air through the leak at the same time... not good

dont want to be the watch dog,but go over your work in the morning..in a warm garage... rushing in the middle of the night means more trouble

is the Safc hooked up right with the wires for the MAF on the ECU plug hooked up/spliced correctley?
