In advance thanks for reading this long post and for my rambling in it :coy:

I just took the car out after putting everthing back together and when the car was warming up the A\F ratio was at 14.0 to 15.8 is this right about were it should be? It was also reading 14.3 to 15.8 at cruising speed and accelarating is this normal as well.

Other thing is I went WOT through 2nd and 3rd a couple of times I was pegged at 10.0 AFR man is that rich. I took out 4 percent accross the board HI settings and still 10.0 . I dont want to take anymore fuel out till I get the logger running (need battiers).

Durring first run in 3rd I would buck hard and continue pulling cant tell if it was backfire or if it was fuelcut. I am thinking fuel cut as it hits hard and tonight is cold. After I took out 4 percent across hi setting's in 3rd again it would buck but 2 to 3 times. Any ideas on what this might be. I have 550's and Evo 3 at 17psi (for now) I think the ecu is seeing to much air and would be better if I could take some fuel out which then the ecu will see less air correct?. If I am wrong on this please let me know. I have some brand new FIC 660's and thinking this will help. I want to mess with the 550's for now till I get a good idea about tuning and what's up with the car till I through in the 660's

This is a post when I first got the logger has all the info on my SAFC and a couple of logs I did. I dont trust just useing the logger and thats when I decided to get the wideband.

Thanks again for reading all this I hope I can get this tuning thing down and this backfire\fuelcut fixed.

My car has pretty much a perfect tune so take into consideration of these numbers

When I first start my car the a/f is reading like mid 12's it flucuates alot as it warms up. Crusing with foot on the gas it reads like 12.5. At WOT it stays at 11.3 when I let off the gas it pegs lean but then recovers to mid 12s which is normal

Are you on stock ecu? I'm running AEM EMS by the way

10.0 is way rich anything past 12's is starting to lean out FYI you can run a little leaner on race gas though but not much

You are probably hitting fuel cut so add lots more fuel

Your statements do not agree with each other. If that is truly what your A/F ratio is under those conditions you have far from a perfect tune.

A/F shouldn't fluctuate when the car is warming up. It should steadily lean out to 14.7:1 as the engine reaches operating temp.

Under cruising conditions A/F should be 14.7:1

If it's pegging lean without decel fuel cut being activated that's a tuning problem.

What kind of gas mileage are you getting? I'd imagine it can't be much better than 15 mpg with it being so rich.

Its not too bad actually probably around 250-275 for per tank with 880cc injectors

When I said flucuates I ment it jumps around in the mid to high 12's at idle. When its cold it is leaner like 14
s 15's then when its reached opt. temp it stays at about 12.6-7. It pegs lean when I'm on the gas and I let off it pegs lean under decell or vaccum but normal crusing its in the 12's. WOT is 11.3

I understand "perfect" a/f is 14.7 according to how a stock car should be.

I ment my car is tuned perfectly like it runs fine, doesnt act up under WOT, a/f never changes. Sorry I should have been more clear.

3 posts and I only got one anwser out of them. 12.0 seems a little rich I have been running my car with the tune I have now for a whille and its been good those numbers just dont seem right.

How bad of a exhaust leak would I need befor the sensor to cause any false readings just curious as I have one but its not that bad.

Any exhaust leak before the sensor will cause it to read wrong. I'd fix the leak so you can get a correct tune.

My wideband reads between 14 to 14.8 at idle and during a cruise. At WOT i'm at 11.7. Hope this helps

So im probly a little lean around idle and cruise im reading a whole 1.0 leaner. Time to hit some back roads. As for the leak its not big it right at the gasket that connects the DP to the cat eleminator. Small that if I put my hand around it I can feel it slightly just put a new gasket in and it helped out more than it was before but the down pipe ws home made and the guy didnt to good on the weld. There is weld spots of the flat side I dermeled it out alot but its a little bumpy. I dont think I will get it completly flat with out leaving divits in it so im going to get another one when I get the cash.

12afr at cruise...that is just insane rich for cruise. You want at least 14 at cruise. There is no reason whatsoever that a car should need 12 to one at cruise or idle. The only time it should idle there is when it is dead cold.

less than 10 to 1 at wot is way rich too. You can get rich knock from a number like.
