Installed AFPR and now it takes a few tries to start after sitting.

I just recently put a Fuel Lab AFPR on my car and now in the mornings, it takes 3 or 4 tries to get it started in the morning. I called the company I bought it from and they said it was normal. Is there any way I can wire in a fuel pump prime button so it is not so hard to start in the mornings?

Normal.
Turn the key and let it crank for a second, then stop and do it again.

You can try to adjust deadtime if you have link, that may help.

You can do a prime switch with any spring loaded switch that has to be held to activate it by running it to the control side of the relay.

Or you could buy a check valve to put in right after the regulator which should keep fuel pressure from bleeding off.

You would want to take a fused wire from a b+ source and run it to the factory positive control wire on your fuel pump relay (pin 86 on bosch relay) then when you push the switch it will prime your pump.

It is common with our cars. If you notice on your guage, the pressure will slowly bleed off as it sits. Another simple option may be to install a check valve.

Yeah that would be no fun. The pressure bleed off bothered me alot at first also. Now its cold outside and im on e85 so no matter what it takes some time to get started in the mornings. Im sure my neighbors hate it when I go to start the talon early in the mornings. They all think it is a pos that won't run and its even funnier with the looks I get when I go to take off and the twin disk makes its noise.

Mine is doing the same. just bump the key foward the first time then after a sec start it.

Before you start in the morning if you have a fp gauge check pressure. It will bleed down some but not to zero. My car holds line pressure fine for atleast 16 hours and starts fine when started in the morning.
