Wondering where the best place to get 450cc injectors? I'm keeping the car mostly stock for right now and would like to find as close to stock as possible. Also I'm running 550ccs right now and I'm smoking pretty bad. My turbo is destroyed and and my intercooler had a been compromised by a rock. so it's also smoking due to that, but I'm wondering if when I put the new turbo and intercooler on if it will still smoke like a bi***?

All things being stock - 550cc vs 450cc is a small difference. This should be well within the automatic fuel trims to adjust in closed loop mode.

Add a picture/video of the smoke you are producing.

As stated - fix the broken things - do a boost leak test. Leaky intake will cause the auto fuel trims under closed loop idle to bias lean as more air is being sucked in under vacuum than is being measured at the MAF. (the ECU uses the o2 sensor to force 14.7 AFR results) The opposite is true under boost. A leaky intake will go rich under boost as more air is being sucked through the MAF than is making it to the cylinder. The ECU tables cannot auto adjust under WOT open loop operation. You need to seal up the leaks to remove this condition.

He could run a 2g MAF with those injectors, you know, the old school way.

It's more than 22% it's not a small difference.

Yea it is. I missed the part that it was already a 2g car. My bad :banghead:

Thanks y'all! So anyone have any recommendations other than used stock? I think I'm going to go with used stock for now but I'd still like nice injectors.
Denso 450cc stock injectors balance well with a stock configuration. The stock ECU and air flow through a stock configuration is setup for them.

The question of "what injector" is an academic question. You pick the injector that gives you the target AFR (air fuel ratio) that the engine needs. Are you running Rich, or Lean, and by how much?

If you don't know if you are running rich or lean, and you don't know what AFR target you want - you should think about how to answer those questions, and let the data tell you what injector you need to run.

Do we have a wideband O2 sensor on this car? It is a requirement for Tuners and I don't blame them. I have a "sniffer" AEM EUGO that I use as a portable unit, put into the tail pipe. It isn't spot on correct, but does give an idea of what the AFR's are. I would consider that as a future upgrade if the car doesn't have it. Just a suggestion is all.

For now I just want to take it back to as close to as stock as possible. I want a solid running vehicle as it's already very pretty. After that I want to redo the fuel system, ECU, and throw a 16 g on. But that's in the future if I actually want more power. This is my first "sporty" car so of course I want a street build, but I'm not sure if I will take it there or not.
