Initial settings for S-AFC - everyone's opinion

Yeah it does, when its Damp outside, there is water, moister in the air, when its cold, the air is denser and will run better. When the air is hot and dry, it runs like crap almost, its like a normal human, i'm not saying our car will run ever in these conditions, but have you ever had trouble breathing in a Dry sauna, then go outside of it. You can breath so much better.. Thats why i love driving my car in the summer nights when its about 70 degree rather than 93 like it has been here lately..I think that might help with the fuel trims you a talking abotu and tunning with them...
 
I just got my safcII installed. I've got a 16g at 17.5psi and a rewired 255lph pump on STOCK injectors still. Any advice on a starting place for tuning? I'm running pocketlogger so i'll be checking my timing the whole way.

Advice:

Set to everything to zero. Turn DOWN the boost level,as low as you can go. I have my low setting at 10 PSI and it will creap to 15 in the higher gears. Log a 3rd gear run, and have a look. If the timing is being pulled add 2 points at or near that RPM range and make another run. Keep doing to until the timing isn't being pulled and/or the O2 reading isn't totally wrong (remember the O2 is a ROUGH estimate) If you are able to SAFELY run at the low setting, bump the pressure up 2 PSI and start the process again.

I commend you on buying the logger... now click the DSR link and buy those injectors!
 
I don't know how much power that puppy will put down. The sleek plastic chassis shoud be good for 2hp, the blue screen another 2hp, and if you cut the cables (decrease drag) that should net you another 1-2hp ;)
 
I have a 1G with a 2G MAF
3" intake pipe
3" turbo back exhaust
light flywheel
16 psi on 92 octane stock turbo and injectors
low 40 high 80 Th points- 1,2,3,4,5,5.5,6,7
My low settings are +50 all the way and I'm still running lean until 2000.
My high settings are +12-14 with flucuations across, but I'm still getting a bit of knock still working on tuning for high throttle.

Tuning the T-25 is a little different because it drops to 10 psi at 5500 rpm. So I could lean it out alot more in that rpm.

What's then normal AFC setting for 2g, 20g 255lph fuelpump 450cc injectors? Can someone help. Still saving up for 550 injectors.
 
Oh yeah I have a dual probe EGT (computech) Egts at Idle are 870-900 and Wot To redline 1590-1600 degs. Is that safe.??? throttle Pt is low is 69 and high is 70. I dont have a logger either. I am tuning by O2. Could anyone help??

I hope you are not running too much boost like that. You should saving for 660's, not 550's.
 
Yes, I would suggest some nice 650-660 instead of 550's. With the Safc you can lean them down enough to not over run the injectors. (550's are sufficiant, but why not have some room to get things moving)

I'm close to that ... difference is I have stock injectors and intercooler still. I have my safc set up for 17 psi.

high settings:

-3, 1, 5, 8, 11, 14, 16, 17

low settings:

30, 25, 14, 14, 14, 14, 14, 14

( 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 4500, 5000, 6000, 7000 )

14b ported running 16lbs, greddy front mountw/all piping, greddy bov, 2.5 full exhaust, custom dump, SAFC II, 550cc injectors, 255hp lhp, dont know how to set my S-afc... car dies on its face when accelerating... please help, i ran a 15.5 at the track... it was embarrassing... can anyone help me?
 
Do you have an EGT gauge, and o2 volt meter, and an a/f gauge? Or do you have a pocketlogger? Without these I wouldn't touch the s-afc, just because of the bad stuff that could happen. Either get these or take it someplace to get it tuned.

Leave it at 0 until you get dyno time, in which case you MAY be able to make a few adjustments, and enjoy the blueness of it.

Any ideas where to start at with a S20g and 680 injectors? I have fmic, 3"exh., afpr @ 43psi, and a SAFC and could use a base setting. And boost will be set at 17psi and 21 psi. Thanks..

Oh, I do have a EGT gauge and datalogger.
