indiglo gauges install??? please help a dsm'r out!!

You were right, the needle was rubbing against the overlay, some adjustment got it to fit again. But now I notice that the fuel needle isn't moving at all, I played around with the overlay, and cut some excess away from it. I did have to move the needle a bit to get it to install, but now it just won't go up or down.....

Ok, after spending about an hour with a knife and the gauge overlays I cut them so that they did not have any contact with any part of the needle. I put everything back together very carfully. Every gauge seems to be working great now. Thanks for all the input.

when i installed my gauges the speedometer is 10mph slower than actual, instead of stopping at 5 mph where it used to it goes 10mph below that, what should I do?

follow the "Chilton's" Manual on gauge removal and installation. It proved to be easy but very time consuming. Just be sure to disconnect the negative battery terminal so the airbag doesn't blow up in your face WTF

I have aftermarket gauge faces for my speedometer and HVac panel. I have them installed,but I dont know where to wire them in. I was just wondering if anyone knows what would be the best wire to splice them to. I will appreciate any help I can get.

Hot side of your dimmer rheostat.

I bought a talon and it has white face guages but at night you can not see the speed. Did the person who put them in do it wrong or is that the way they are supposed to be. If so, they will be off in no time.

Probably burned out. The glow faces are made out of firefly tails, and have about the same lifespan as the insects.

Hey guys, i'm trying to finish up an led overlay gauge install, and can't find where to draw power from. i read it was supposed to be a 10A source, only on when the headlights are on. I though the wire for the headlights itself, or the license plate light wire would be the best choices. unfortunately, i cannot locate either. My chilton book is 9/10ths worthless, as the wiring diagram on there assumes you have a masters in rocket science.

can anyone point out where either of these wires are for splicing, or reccommend a better/easier solution?

Thanks for the help guys! (especially those who steered me towards the green/white wire under the console) I was able to complete the gauge install, and must say it was a peice of cake with a dremel, a screwdriver, and the knowledge of which wire to tie into. Attached photo is the result, shot with a pretty crappy cam.
