Measure your front bar and post back what the length of it is. I know they should measure over 42 inches but mine is like 41 12/16 in but it seems to fit fine. I just need to know if anyone else has one similar length to mine and if they havce had any problems or not.

ill measure mine when i get home. take a picture of yours installed, mine caught my car on fire once it shorted to the (+) battery cable so i want to see if yours is going to do the same... anyhow, i DO have the old skool RRE upper and i will measure it for you before i pass out tonight for bed. :thumb:

:idontknow:just curious as to why your worried about a 1/4" if it fits?:idontknow:

well some have said it ruins the stud once the strut starts moving. Also i was worried about the battery thing as well so i wrapped it in electrical tape near the positive terminal

THIS IS NOT THE SOLUTION! i had that ribbed plastic tubing protecting the wires from contacting the strut bar. after 6 months of DD'ing it finally rubbed through...

definitly will measure it then. i guess your right a 1/4" could lead to stripping the threads on the shock. :hmm:

Whats your measuring points? Center to center on the bolt hole?

Mines off the car and I can take a quick measurement.

Mine seemed to be a tad bit short and was hard to get on. All I did was slot the bolt holes a little and it fits fine. But I am not run the rre strut bar right now since its too close to the battery and don't want a fire like gofer had. I might drop the battery down in the future so I can run it tho.
