idle sounds funny

well guys im having a problem with the idle.. it sounds exactly like the one in the video. the plugs are about 4 months old. The wires have been replaced ,but not sure when. could it be the coil pack, im also getting a check engine light for the tps sensor. It has no power what so ever. so what could this be? thanks

Well if your TPS is bad then you should have it replaced. Shoot me a PM on that if you need one.

If you are going to question the coil pack, do a resistance test on it and you should test the PTU next to it as well.

Sounds fine to me. But if the TPS sensor is broken you might want to get that replaced. =)

Are you missing power under boost? Blow off valve sounds weird? I haven't been able to figure it out yet, its been like 3 months.

oh yeah missing tons of power under boost. did like 3 blt's and nothing. im running a 14b on 15 lbs of boost and no power what so ever

We have the same problem ha. I'm running an 18g and it is up around 18psi, feels like 4 psi. BOV flutters when under 10 psi. Just doesn't pull. I've retimed it mechanically 3 times, BLT at 30 PSI, checked every single vacuum line for leaks. At a complete loss right now. Need to get my hands on a multimeter to start checking my TPS and O2 sensors. I have no CEL though.

EDIT: Is your vacuum sitting real low too? like 15ish? sometimes 10?

yup sometimes it's at 16 hg and other it's at 18 hg. im really don't know. it was doing this before i got a check engine light.

Have you done a compression test? You are seriously the only other person I have found with the same issues as me. Are you recirculating your BoV?

i haven't done one in a while, but my results were all 150. maybe one of us will figure it out. i took off my recirculating tube a couple of days so i could fix the flutter on the bov.

Check your compression, but your idle sounds fine.

compression i 150 across the board. i have done countless of blts and nothing. Noticed a new problem when im hitting about 2 lbs it bogs down pretty bad, you noitce it right away. The loss of power has me puzzled.

is it smoking out the exhaust when it loses power?

are u hooking the boost leak test up to the turbo inlet and holding the throttle plate open when you pressurize the system? can u hear where the pressure is leaking?

yes i hook it up to the turbo inlet and no to holding the throttle plate open. what would be the reason to open the throttle up? i do hear air going to the oil pan, but hardly has any shaft play in or out and side to side.
