Ok so I have noticed on the ASA it asks for specific years and I dont know if my engine is what was in the car when it was made, different head for sure its a 1g, has the 1g lifters, but it is a 7 bolt.
Anyways the engine is out and im doing a rebuild on some thrust bearings, rod bearings, aswell timing belt, balance shaft, water pump, gaskets ect. Well somehow the tag for the block was barely hanging on and this is its VIN/ IorTU0610X6
I know there is a couple different 7bolts through 95-98 my car was made in march 97.
I remember seeing in a thread somewhere about the 7th letter in the engine vin number but cant find that thread.
