I recently just recirculated my Greddy type R which I love the sound of. But since I recuirculted I can hardly hear it even at high boost. What are some solutions so I can hear it more? Better filter, GM MAS ??????
 
Like fwdmaster said get hard intake/intercooler piping. I have a type s that's recirculated and I can hear it pretty well at 15psi with hard piping.
 
If you want it to run the way it was designed (recirulate) you will never get to hear it. I know on 1g's they dont run as good when you dont recirulate (at least on stock ECU). I havent goten around to my 2g yet is has a bov vented to atmosphere. Since I got car like that (this car had tons of bost and vac leaks most of which are solved) I have not tried to recirulate yet and dont know what the difference it would make.
 
Some people say get a hard pipe for the recirc tube

otherwise GM MAF + MAF Translator and vent to the atmoshere
 
thats wierd that you still cant hear it too well. i have a evo mr bov with jan intake and i can hear mine really good. and so can other people. sorry i cant help you tho.
 
You may try to get some different piping for the BOV recirc tube. I would imagine the ruffled tube you said you use muffles sound a bit. See this link for an idea. The jist of it is you can use a "P" trap kit from a local hardware store for hard piping. There were pics but the links are dead. It's posted around here somewhere as well, the hard piping should let a little more sound get out.
 
just get a bigger turbo and a big external wastegate and listen to that i dont have my BOV recirculated and i cant hear it over my open downpipe but i can hear the wastegate loud and clear just need to run a pipe through the fender so i can shoot flames at people. i already went through 2 fans from it
 
you could just vent it now, it will probably bog a ittle after it blows off cause the computer already read that air. the only other option would be a gm maft setup and if you have v3 of link you just need the cable instead of the translater. i really dont see any other way to do it.
 
I don't blame you on wanting to hear the bov. It's always nice to hear that woosh after every shift, but really, is worth venting your bov just for some noise and sacrifice your performance ? I think it's kinda cool when you can recirc and not make noise and keep your car sleeper-sounding and not let anyone know what's up up until you hit that gas pedal, then it's a whooole different world. :hellyeah:
Other than that, get the gm maft conversion which would be your only other way out, the correct way to vent.

Mine is a rubber flex tubing instead of the plastic one that guy has.
 
More boost will also make the BOV more audible. Obviously, don't start jacking up the boost if your setup can't handle it just so it'll make more noises--it might even start making some undesireable noises then.
