I installed my Evo 3 and turbo back exhaust with cat last week, and yesterday I tested boosting it for a bit. I was on the highway in 4th gear doing 75, so I was at a good 4000 rpm already. I glanced at the boost gauge and saw that I was boosting, but I can't hear the turbo at all. Is it supposed to be quieter than the t-25?

I helped a friend install a B16g a while back, and that had a vacuum-cleaner sound to it, so that's what I was expecting to hear when I nailed it, but nothing. Heh.

Thanks in advance.

Aren, I installed the EVO3 b16 last winter in my 91 gsx last year and it made a wonderful spooling sound that was very audible inside the vehicle while driving. And I believe it should be louder than the 2g turbo. Unfortunatly I have a terrible exhaust leak now and can't here it anymore. Is your new exhaust completely sealed? Also you can remove a silencer from your MAF (mass airflow meter) which can unleash some sound if you haven't done so already. Joe

Did you take into consideration that you just installed an exhuast system and that drowns out the sound of the turbo. With a 3" turbo back, no cat or muffler, I couldnt even hear my evo3.
