Changed the plugs/wires, getting fuel what could be the problem? it only does it sometimes at about 3500-4000 rpms in 2nd or 3rd.

IC Pipe Tester

It's the only thing you can do. After you've made what's in the link, warm up your car, shut off, attach to turbo, pressurize with an air compressor, and start checking for leaks. You can use soapy water to help you find leaks. Your final result should be 20psi, which slowly leaks down to 0 after about 30 seconds.

what if i dont find any leaks? and where do i replace the rubber hoses if i do have leaks.

First off, are you running stock boost or did you bump it up?
2. You should replace all vaccum line hoses as part of maitence.
3. If you don't want to build one, you can purchace them I know MachV has them (it's more expensive then building but it's already done for you).
4. Don't run higher boost than 15 psi and not expect fuel cut without supporting mods.

Hope this helps you wink wink:thumb:

When you do get the tester, start it off the throttle body elbow and work your way back to the compressor so if you do have a lot of leaks you are only focusing on a few at a time so you can pin point them. As skillz said, a spray bottle of water and soap (I use dish detergant) will help you greatly with leaks.

More than likely, your throttle body shaft seals are leaking as well as your injector seals.

LOL funny thing is my boost gauge says 28 psi and i ahve everythinhg stock, just got a new turbo a 14b, i dont know y it says that high but i used another guage but it did the same thing with a 15-20 vac.

Gauge was zero'd out and plumbed properly? I maxed my 20psi gauge out with creep but that's all.

If you're hitting 28psi, that's bad. Make sure the boost controller is properly connected to the WGA and set at the lowest setting, and make sure the WGA is functioning (use a pressure tester on the WGA nipple). If that all checks out, and you still go over 20 psi, it's probably creep. If you think it's creep, disconnect the WGA arm from the lever on the turbine housing and make sure the lever turns easily by hand. With the arm disconnected, do a pull. If you still see boost (more than a few psi), it's creep and you either need an O2-housing-mounted external WG or a WG mounted off the exhaust mani or a good port job on the turbine housing and WG passage (see VFAQ Site - Visual Frequently Answered Questions for info on porting the 14b).

i think iam having the same problem with my car, but my is from 3000 to 4000 rpm's and my car idles 1300 to 1500 rpm's use to be 750 to 850, and my air to fuel ratio use be 14.5 to 15ish at idle now its 12 to 13, and when i hit full boost of 15psi its at 10.9 use to be 11.3-11.5. so do i have a boost leak or do i have a bigger problem ?

When in doubt, BLT. Basically, if you feel the need to ask if it's a boost leak, just do one regardless. That's always going to be mentioned with power loss or erratic idle.
