I have searched but i couldn't find it. I am rebuilding my motor right now and i was wondering if i would have to port out my head with a horsepower goal of about 400-450 at the crank. I am rebuilding the head but i was wondering if i should port it out. thanks for any help.

Dont port the head, its flows fine have you seen how large our heads are? Dont even worry about porting the head unless your over 600whp plus!

I mean it will help but really more money can be spent on somthing else if your looking for 450plus.

Do 1mm over sized valves, and some cams and you will be set...

I got stock size ss ferrea valves 272 hks with mild port. They will go pretty far I think with the right set up you can go over 450hp.

What size turbo do you plan on running to reach your goals? The reason I ask is that this will have a direct relationship to the cams you'll need to optimize flow and volumetric efficiency.

Let us know,

Also if he's rebuilding his motor doesnt it madder if he's a stoker or 2.0 for what size cams he gets. My mechanic has a stroker and he said that his 272's did not do much becuase of the stroker. He was telling me about some crazy cams like 282's made just for the stoker dsm to give him best performance out of his larger motor. Anybody hear about these?

depending on the turbo you have will make your cam choice, matching the turbo with the cams is important/

There are alot of huge cams that people dont know about, they are not listed call up comp they have more grinds, and they also will custom cut you a set.

FP has stroker cams, check those out also...

I plan on running a 50 trim with a fully rebuilt motor. I plan on running about 20 psi. And it will not be a stroker.
