I am not going to dig thru your 9 page build over a no-start (looks awesome tho)... It shouldn't be hard to figure out, and I am pretty sure there are guides for no-start conditions out there. That said, lets start with below:

1) looking to hard wire my ecu, tcu - what do you mean hard wire?

2) i started to cut interior harness out, now the car wont start. - does the starter motor turn the engine over? do you have spark? fuel? "now the car wont start" isn't enough for me...

3) i have easy access to all the wires, all loom and tape is off!!! - there is your problem, LOL

4) please help me out!!! - whats in it for me? LOL just kidding.

good morning @rabenne !!!!
1) bare bones wiring setup in my car
2) i cut some interior harness wires and hung them over the steering wheel out of the way.
3) car cranks, then has a kickback misfire, log then stoppes in dsmlink when this happens
4) i moved the bundle of cut wires from the steering wheel, placed them on the seat.
5) car stared today after i moved those wires!!!!
6) all wires snipped with battery undone

issues now after cutting, but getting it started. using wire with gator clips to bypass and find power or ground issues
1) when i go to rev it up it acts like the timing is way off. wasn't a problem before cutting wires.
2) aem map sensor show -10.1 vaccuum, engine off ignition on, in my logs
3) mfi relay not getting a ground signal from ecu (i ran a ground for testing purposes and the relay kicks on and car runs, but like crap)
4) very erratic timing in my logs at idle

im not really to good with wire diagrams, but i know how to use a multi-meter, and test sensors.
i dont know why the car is doing this now.
hard wired fuel pump to battery on a switch relay not needed right now.

removed cruise control ecu. had additional 5-6 wires that i cut at the intersection point of the harness
removed driver/passenger door harness, removed from body but not cut from harness
removed climate control everything. cut wires and placed on seat. all still connected to fuse box and respected relays.

all these wires have been cut from the plug of which it plugs into the component. not the fuse box or its relay

DO YOU THINK I SHORTED THE ECU?

also, check engine light comes on with ignition, then goes off like normal. does not come on when cars running

Heres a log of idle and taps of the throttle

Sorry about the late response, but I'm going back to my storage unit where the car is later today, 6pm eastern time. That's when the guy leaves and i can run an extension cord in the unit and power up baby. :D

not seeing a wideband?
injectors are set to stock?
alternator not charging?
un-touched SD table?

Ill give you $1000 for the car, sight unseen LOL

stock injectors, i have 2150cc waiting to be put in
no alt in yet, cars hooked up to charger, using saturn alt with jay relocation
cars running, locked in open loop

@rabenne
this is idle before cutting the wires, i will take a new idle video later, and you can see and hear that idle is higher and blow by from oil catch can after the cute wires. this never happened before cutting the wires

So you have an untuned ecu running speed density, locked in open loop with no wideband? And you are surprised it was running badly? I am confused... did you resolve your issue?
upon doing my work prior to cutting the harness, the car idled like in the video, and you can also rev it up and was very responsive. smooth timing, ran great

after cutting the harness. idle went from 1000 to 1300, not responsive when taping the throttle, tried to die when revved up, very erratic timing on ecmlink logs

locked in open loop means you can run the car factory settings and be missing an o2 sensor. im not concerned with tuning.

basically, car ran great. i cut the interior harness and now my logs and idle and enging runs like crap. nothing else was changed

@rabenne

im looking for someone i can talk to, to help me diagnosis this electrical issue. ex. ecu pin out voltage help, checking sensors, grounds. someone who can read a wire diagram and dumb it down for me.

i need help to find out what caused my no start after i cut the wires, and why i started after i moved the cut wire harness.

ex. (you saying)
help with bypassing wires.
connect this to this and see if it helps.
check this for ground.
check this sensor for x voltage,
check this sensor for x ohms,
check this continuity of a sensor/ground/12v,
help with dont cut this but this can be removed.
help with the wire harness to clean it up to bare minimum.
help with check this relay for power

IM HAVING TROUBLE READING AND UNDERSTANDING THE FACTORY WIRING SERVICE MANUAL!!!!!! I DONT KNOW WHAT IM LOOKING AT!!! IT SUCKS HAVING ADHD SOMETIMES!!! LOL

@rabenne okay i just found something that moght help us!!!!
i found this in the log i sent you before

@423.872 seconds almost at the end

there is a blip in some of the sensors, ive never seen this before and it looks like a short some where or a bag ground?

I probably could help, but the amount of work you are asking people to do on your behalf is unreasonable. You will need to pay someone to fix the issue you cant understand, or start learning circuit diagrams and begin to diagnose the problems. I can't devote the time to wiring your entire car (with a hacked up harness), sorry bro.

If you decide to diagnose the issue, step one will be undoing everything you did so far hacking it up. Figure out what circuits the sensors affected are on by looking at the diagrams (several are likely to be on the same circuit). Trace the wires. Fix the issues. I will watch this thread... Was having others fix it your plan going into this?

https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/2g-turbo-5v-reference-grounded-at-ecu.488440/

in this thread it states a 5v signal to the sensors im have an issue with. when i get to the car later i will test pin 81 for a 5v output from the ecu. and also will test ground and signal as well from those sensors.
but im looking at this diagram which has all my problem sensors running together. so this is where my problem might be. if i didnt cook the ecu already :pray::pray:

@rabenne i was posting some intel i found just before you responded. im asking someone to brain storm with me. not to do all the work for me. sorry if i came off misleading. i will put in the work, i just need a little help. when i look at these diagrams it over whelms me thats all. and look up at the post right above this

I found a full wiring diagram for 2g turbo on some random cars and coffee website years ago. It helped us when making custom harness for buddy’s car. It’s the only place I have ever seen it. We also have the dealer only manuals we acquired from a local dealer that have info not found easily.

@rabenne

update. my findings tonight.

started testing sensors tonight. and when i got to the cam sensor things got interesting....
cam sensor seems to be the culprit... or at least i think so and heres why. and please correct if im wrong.

steps of exactly of i did when i got to the cam sensor

-1) started car. idles like mentioned before.
-2) unplugged cam sensor, NOTHING CHANGED IN IDLE :aha:

-3) shut off car - ignition on

-4) left cam sensor unplugged.

-5) (testing plug side of wire harness)
tested red wire 12v (good):thumb:
tested continuity for the ground (good):thumb:
tested blue/red signal wire, 4.98v (good):thumb:

-6) plugged in cam sensor to test signal back to ecu pin #88 (engine off ign on) 4.96v (good):thumb:

-7) applied the test procedure for voltage change in pin #88, following https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/crank-and-cam-angle-sensor-testing.98536/

THIS IS WHERE IT GETS GOOD:cry:

gator clipped my volt meter black to ground and red to the #88 wire, cranked car with fuel pump off, and........
erratic micro voltage:notgood::notgood::notgood::notgood:

so tomorrow i will be putting in a new cam sensor in hopes it will fix the probelm!!! if not im going to search around more for some info and help and worst comes to worst send my ecu to ecmlink!

this is give me a headach... but i might be getting somewhere! i have found sites that have digital service manuals. and i just have been printing pages that i think i need

Just out of curiosity... the wires you cut.. are any of them capped to make sure nothing can short in the random bundle you’re moving back and forth between the wheel and seat? Also, if you can’t read a circuit diagram, how did you decide on what wires to cut?

i didnt cap them and i think thats what went wrong LOL, and i didnt think the interior harness had anything to do with the engine.
such as
hatch lock
interior lights
sun visor lights
driver/pass door harness
rear defroster
and i looked up the cruise control harness before i cut in to that

im going to be getting a new cam sensor today. but first im gonna cap off the wires. install cam sensor, and start the car. i understand wires, and i can kind of read a wire diagram.

-to answer you question about deciding on what wires to cut.
so what i was doing was cutting off all the loom to the harness and following the wires back to the fuse box. just to make sure they didnt intersect power or grounds for something important, and the wires i have cut so far dont. thats why i was very baffled on this problem. which i think was a short

dsmtuners is the only place i can turn to for help with things. i dont have any car smart people/friend that can help me.

and so far everyone who has been involved in this thread has been giving me crap rather then pointing me in the right direction, ex. of what im looking for. other posts, threads that i can read my self.
im having trouble finding wiring schematics for cretin things.

thats why i made this thread.

I have questions. and ive posted so much in this thread already of my findings. but im trying to get the car done before the summer this year. i set a goal for it. so im looking for people i can ask hey can i wire it this way? hey how do i bypass this. can i run this off a switch and relay? things like that but keep it all in one thread.

was randomly searching and found this thread https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/n...hink-ecu-since-its-a-95.337591/#post151874377
witch these pics. which is the kinda stuff im looking for, right here LOL
