Please explain how having a roof rack makes your car "awesome". Roof racks don't make a vehicle look any better at all and sometimes make it look worse.

I'll be putting one on my DSM only because I'll be USING IT to transport my mountain bike. When I'm not using it, it's coming off.

believe some cars came stock with them....and dont those same cars that people buy usually end up having owners that rip them off and sell them to honda fanboys anyways? i believe that might be how it came into market

No car comes stock with a roof rack. They are factory options for some vehicles, usually for vans and vehicles that are actually made to haul things. Idiots with Audis, 80's BMWs, and VWs put those huge ugly hideous roof racks on their cars are dumb, and they rarely use them. Anyone who actually takes it off when not using it is the only kind of person with a roof rack that isn't an idiot. It's like driving around in the summer with studded snow tires (not regarding legality.)

A car is a car, I don't need to go to meets to see people brag about their cars. Sorry, I dislike all Nissans. Given 2 choices to take ANY Nissan for free or be murdered I would choose death. A Subaru Outback is a yuppie car. Any way, a car is an expression of personality. Certain kinds of cars are driven by certain kinds of people. A WRX is two cars, a wagon and a sedan. A person who buys the wagon WRX (or Outback) will most likely be some yuppie stoner idiot that sports a roof rack to snowboard once every few years. A different kind of person, one who cares about looks and performance of cars will buy the sedan WRX.

There are some. I don't care about all this rhetoric that you can make a DSM or any import faster. Yeah, a Supra will pretty much be the only thing to actually be made faster in acceleration and top speed than a real supercar. I will never own any of those (except mr2, the poor man's Ferrari, had 2) and I don't care. Any car I am actually capable of affording is a car that will get me from point A to point B and that's all I care about in a car meant to do just that.

Herse my subaru forester wagon/suv, with a roof rack, for my mountain bike and snowboards.

Guess Im the typical Yuppie. Let me know what I'm supposed to eat and wear, I'm not familiar with this stereotype or its definition. But if you group cars and people type together, your making every dsmer look like quiet the tool.

Forester = quite ugly and femalish to me. A yuppie is a person who is so self-involved. This is what a yuppie says " :hellyeah:

Not all stereotypes aren just ignorantly made up. Yuppies sometimes wear at least one thing that is made of hemp. The lazy yuppies don't need a bigger car to haul things because they don't like exercise, so they get a Prius or some other hybrid. Being a yuppie is a choice, not something you're born into. Stereotyping a race is wrong, but stereotyping someone who chooses to be something is absolutely awesome and good, family fun.
