I just performed an engine rebuild and i am getting from cyl.#1-4 40-30-0-50 on the compression check. When i try and start it . You can hear it just spin freely no normal starting tones.
I replaced the rings(angled the end gaps apart from each other) and cross hatched the cylinder walls
hand tightened the ARP studs into the block applied the moly lube to the stud and put the washer and bolt on torqued to 81 lbs in increments of 20 using the correct pattern.
I used a mitsu 4 layer metal head gasket with hylomar sealant applied on both sides
I aligned the timing correctly used the timing marks in the valleys of the cam gear to line it up right.
The head is a rebuilt stage 1 head from BJs cylinder head it includes valves and cams.
where should i start for finding a way to correct this problem.
