i have no power

i have a 95 talon tsi...everytime i floor it from a stop it feels like its got no power and i noticed the rpms instead of gradualy increasing they go up then kinda stop then go up and do this until like around 3000 rpm when it hits boost its back to normal......is this a vacuum leak or boost leak or sparkplugs or what.....help please

You gotta start somewhere to diagnoise a problem like this.

1. If you don't know when you changed your plugs last, do so. They are cheap.

2. Do a boost leak test. If you are unsure exactly how, search the forums here and they will give you a guide, show you how to build a tester, etc. Make sure to use soapy water when doing the test.

3. Reset your car, using the car battery. Wait for 15 mins and see if that helps. This will see if your car entered limp mode. This fixed limp mode for me.

4. Could be a clogged CAT. Listen for a noise around the CAT area. Have a friend listen as you move around slowly outside your car. If it is bad enough, you can hear noises coming from the CAT.

Did you touch anything on the car lately?

no i have an intake and swaped in a 14b but the car is been doing this since before that....im assuming it could be the vacuum lines on the tb because when we swaped the motor the lines didnt really match up to the ones on the old motor and we just put them how ever but i bought vacuum caps and im going to cap them all off to see if that helps

Does the RPM hesitate going up? do you hear something rumbling on the top end?

I wouldn't start cappin things off just yet. In order to eliminate lines like that you need to follow the emissions elimination plan which also includes removing the EGR valve. Removing emissions is really easy to do. HOWEVER, you live in CA and I know they are different and stricter laws, so careful what you do i guess. What is the code your car is giving you?

yes exactly it hesitates like its trying real hard to go but once it hits full boost problem solved ........any ideas?
