i have a 96 talon tsi awd it has a 4g63 motor in it.

i cut my o2 sensor on my car well it was runnin now it not runnin too good. if anyone nos what it could be let me no... and the boost gage stopped workin at the same time i cut the o2 sensor.. thank you
 
no i did not.. i was not sure if that would fix it or not... i dont understand why the boost gage would stop workin
 
well i cut it cause i was goin to get a new one and now it is run really bad and didnt want to buy a new one if it not goin to fix it... and the stock boost gauge stopped workin at the same time... i cut the o2 sensor well it was runn..
 
First: You dont just cut your o2. You can simply replace it without cutting anything. And cutting wires alike that is a good way to cause a short.

Second: Fallow the site rules and use proper grammar and punctuation.

And third: Replace that o2 and that should fix the problem
 
well first off it was already broke off it was just hanging down and my check engine light was on but it still ran good and now that i cut it it just runnin like crap and boost gauge is not workin and the guy that has a shop up the road said to cut it off and that was dumb of me to do that cause now it dont run right at all and it blowin smoke and you can smell the fumes when it is runnin...
 
ok im goin to order one tommorrow and ya it was broke out of the exhaust and was hittin the ground. Yes i do think it is the stock one.. Should i buy another stock one or advance has a universal on?? Like i siad im new to the car i just got it last friday...

First like stated before GRAMMAR and PUNCTUATION.

Secondly "I cut my o2 sensor and now it runs like shit, well it sure can't be the o2 sensor!" Replace the sensor.

Yeah, your check engine light would come on due to something is going wrong with your car. Go to advanced, pep boys, napa, or any other auto store and they will most likely have your o2 sensor in stock. So you can avoid the shipping of the item by ordering it.

Lots of different problems can occur when your not running o2 sensors without a tune for eliminating them.

As for your boost gauge man, after you fix your oxygen sensor, and it still doesn't work. And your car is still not running right, then your going to haveta diagnose further. It could be a mechanic issue, or a electrical issue. (Boost leak, short from cutting the wire, etc.)

I can point you in the direction of putting a aftermarket boost gauge into your car. Its very simple... if you'd like instuctions let me know, ill find the write up for you.
 
Its easy..... The universal ones come with some sort of directions to match up wires it takes like 15 minutes from start to finish. And why would you cut the o2 sensor I would have at least googled what they are for before I did that. I think you should sell me your dsm if your going to go around hacking off wires that's are their for a reason. Good luck man and poor car! haha

Caveat - Because someone may say it, if the wires were energized and you shorted them and somehow the moons (we'd have to get another one) aligned..
