Hi all , to start off i guess, i got this car as a trade a few months ago in pieces put it back together and got it to start and run, the problem is that when it is started it starts and runs fine idels smooth, you can rev it but when you rev near 6 it wont go any higher and when you try to drive it it drives fine slow but when u give it a lil gas it takes off and sounds like the bov goes off and falls on its face and starts jumping and stalling, i figured it was the timing but figured id ask and see if anyone had any other ideas , car has a walb 255 aeromotive fpr set at 43lbs on 450 injectors new head gasket. like i said im kinda lost have ideas just tired of guessing.

Its in my profile i just posted what i did because they all are things that can make the motor run the way it is.

Stock 1G fuel pressure with a manual transmission is 37 psi. Unless you've got some fuel control like Link, you're running rich. Be sure that your ignition timing is correct, your spark plug gap is correct, and that you're not off a tooth on the valve timing or something. Reason I mention the valve timing is because you just did a head gasket. Do you have a data logger? A logger would show you what exactly is going on while your car is bogging down.

I cant set the gap on the plugs because i used those bosh v4 platnium plugs, i didnt go out and get them on purpose i just had 4 extra laying around that were new and the car didnt have any, ill turn the fpr down i was told it was supposed to be set at 43, the timing im pretty sure is correct i marked and double checked everything but as anything eles i could have got it wrong LOL. ill try turning th fpr down and maby adjust the cam sensor as i havent touched it. thanks

No logger just safc i can watch it on there but ill be honest i have no idea what im looking at.

Nope havent done a boost leak test dont have a tester is it easy to make one or just buy one? i adjusted the cam shaft sensor and it made it worse and better but still stalled when flooring it in idle and when driving slow and giving it gas, will rev now to past 7k but only if u step it up moderatly slowly if you romp it it sputters and goes no higher than 3.
