I dont get it.... 1g vs 2g power ratings!

Ok so am i missing something here?

The 1g has a bigger smic
The 1g has a better bov that wont leak
The 1g has a 14b turbo which flows more then a T25


So how is the freakin 2g rated at 210 and the 1g rated at 190-195.

The things I can think of on a 2g thats better would be the exhaust manifold...

so why the hell is the 2g rated with more HP from the factory then the 1g??

We all came to the conclusion that the 1g had the better turbo, but the airflow and piping was so restricted. The 2g had better airflow, but crappier turbo. Also, the 2g has higher compression.

I think thats what it was.

We all then came to the conclusion that if the 1g came with a 2g sized tb elbow, and some bigger IC piping for thr airflow, it would probably be about 220 or so hp.

Or maybe i was just having a booze induced haze?

I think that was just about it, too. Basically the airflow and the compression ratio.
