I believe I've been ripped off... cams

So I bought a set of cams off a guy form this website I was told they were 272's but I believe they are just stock... I believe that one cams serial number is: B E 29 and the others is: B D 14 and I've tried searching but nothing has really been specific on the camshaft identification... so please someone shed some light on the subject

Most cams have 264, 272, 280 written on them

Or they have some kind of engraving in them, my FP2's did atleast. If they are just a stamp then they are probably not. The only ones that are stamped as far as I know are HKS and DKS cams I believe. All the other manufacturers should have some sort of engraving indicating the model.

they could be regrinds... I'm not sure how delta and other regrind companies mark there cams.

Even regrinds have the engravings of the duration on them most cams I've seen have this on the end where the sprockets go. Like stated above post some pics, hope you used pay pal or something as you MAY (8-15% chance you will get refunded ) be able to open a dispute.

You should have done research before you bought them--you would have seen the hks cams clearly have hks on them. Either you have a set of cheap regrinds or stock cams. If youre willing to spend 400-500 on some cams. I would suggest kelfords. If you paid less than 400 for those "hks" cams then you should have expected something wrong with them.

Yes, even regrinds have marks on them, including Delta. Request a refund and if denied file a dispute through paypal.

take it to a shop and measure the lobes.. ### that! once you find out if you got ripped off.. put him on blast on this site so no one else buys from him and get ripped off.. this aint time to be nice to people especially when they get you for 300+ dollars..

20 dollars ill be like hey whatever or maybe not even then.. but come on... we are here to help eachother not rob eachother.. but then again how could you trust humans that are in the same community..

Well stock cams are 256's and its pretty easy to tell if you know what your looking at.

If you contact your bank and reverse the charge as a "unarthorized charge" you will get your money back. In other words lie to your bank in order to have the charge reversed. I had a similar issue and paypal just pretty much left me hanging... pretty sad when you consider that they are suppose to make you feel safe but they just suck!!

All the research in the world wouldn't have helped if they were fake pictures.

I have a set of hks cams but I dont see the markings for 272....where would they be on the cam shafts?

You did get ripped off, HKS cams say HKS on them. As soon as I read this "So I bought a set of cams off a guy form this website" I knew it was over. They also have "272" or whatever cam they might be engraved on them. Next time ask for pictures and be an informed buyer. Lessons learned.
