Pulled one from the yard to clean sand and paint then replace the gaskets while my old on is still on. I noticed that the Hyndia one has more groves and crossing buldges were the Mitsu one has flat surfaces, do these need to be grinded down to not interfere with my enging?

Instead of posting a new thread i was hoping some one could answer my question quickly just on here that were on the subject, i just got my engine sent to get rebuilt and my mechanic left the valve cover, how come do you guys think ? Don't want to ask because than im sure he'll try to take advantage on me if he knows i don't know my stuff

I don't know if you mean that the mechanic left the valve cover behind or left it with the engine. Either way really doesn't matter though since the valve cover is not an important part for the rebuild. Usually it is a part that you would want to install yourself so that you can visually inspect that all the lifters, rockers, and cams look good while turning the engine by hand before firing it up.

yeah i meant left behind as in not with the engine to be rebuilt, thanks alot answered my question perfectly thanks !
