HX35 snagged for $25.00

I was walking around the junkyard getting parts for work. I was also looking out for 2g's and Dodge trucks. I happened to walk by a 2500 4wd, the Cummings was out sitting in the bed. I figured the Turbo would be gone. Well I dug around in the bed and low and behold I found the Turbo. Still has everything attatched to it. Minimal side to side shaft play, absolutely zero in and out play.

I gave them $25.00 and left in a hurry. Here are a few pics, I figured since it still has the oil feed and drain still bolted to it that a few of you guys would like to see the size or what not.

I'm sure they do, its just a matter of catching them at the right time. Junkyards don't keep stuff sitting around. So you have to visit atleast once a week to stay on top of there inventory

You have a few options, save money for junkyard trips or get in good with the employees there. Hit them up once a week or so and if your lucky if you get in good with them give them your number and they will let you know when they have what you're looking for.

Never tell them "unknown" tell them all its good for is a rebuildable core, tell them its beat up or something. If its a fairly large junkyard and there busy half the time they don't even look at the part you pulled.

Since I work for a shop I call them and tell them while I'm there browsing.

Try to get in good with the counter person. If its a women, in which my case it was a little flirting goes a long way.
The key is just to get in good with the people that work there.

I tried for a while but gave up. for the most part their prices are higher than I can buy stuff from the classifieds or from vendors.

Find another yard, sounds like a bad place if they are that way.

only one in the area. The only redeaming factor is the dsm stuff is in the back of the yard so no one really walks back there to snag stuff to often.
