Hurst Pro-Matic 2 ratchet shifter installed in my 2g

I jut put a B&M quick shifter in my galant vr4. Had fabricators make a mount for me and welded the sifter to it.. Hardest part was the cable on trans.

It will work as long as you leave it in drive. This shifter is mechanical, not electronic. Need a mod either via line pressure wiring mod, shift lever based manual shift box, or EPROM code change for full line pressure to make it really useful.

If you're crafty you could build one. build a second stick assembly which rotates forward and backward, pressing pushbuttons on it's forward and backward motions, maybe using springs to keep it centered. put it somewhere in the console and maybe mod the stock shifter to keep it out the way.
