So i'm looking at things because i want "launch control" and i came across this it has

Because i bought the stupid safc never used it yet or installed it and now i'm stuck with it because i listed to my stupid friend who had a built 1g and sold it.

You don't need that with your setup. Keep saving towards DSMlink and when you're close enough then sell the SAFC and put the cash towards it. You can find Eprom ECU's for between $100-$150 shipped. Used complete setups pop up from time to time for less than $500 shipped.

id just find a eprom ecu buy the ostrich 2.0 and tune it with jackal or werewolf and be way ahead of the game both very good programs that hak has developed from another website. just my opinion tho

There was a 1g eeprom on ebay with a starting bid of .99 last week. You can usually find them for under 100$ shipped if your patient.

Or just got look in every 1g you can find a junkyard, you never know. I got my ecu for 22$ plus tax.

The other alternative to tuning is black box. google it up or visit ceddy.us. It's basically like link but the UI is a little more difficult. I managed to have a blackbox in my car when i bought it. Bought a tactrix today for 115 dollars shipped. I got launch control, antilag, fuel maps, knock retard. This is what evo's use to tune with EvoScan. New capabilities of the tactrix is standalone logging. It logs to a micro SD card. Really cool stuff.

Take your ECU out and check. If nobody else has jacked the ECU out of your 95, then you have one.

Really ? sweet ! ya there is a long sad story on how i got my car i found it behind a shack for over 4 years of junk on it didn't run or anything so i'm trying to get it to run right and back to life with out "rice" that's why i have a 2.3, got it real cheap i mean dirt cheap but are you sure i'll have a eprom ? what should i get dsm link v3 or v3 light the stm tech guy said light.

I didnt think a 1g eprom would work in a 2G? quote me if im wrong tho

2g ecu in a 1g is easier than a 1g ecu in a 2g because in the 2g the ecu controls things like the fans that are not ecu controlled in the 1g
