how to splice wire into ECU question

So im installing an LC1 wideband into my GSX, and I have never worked with splicing wires into the ECU for data logging. heres what im doing

Brown wire from LC1 to ECU Pin 75 (white)

So, do i cut wire 75 completely and atach it to only my brown wire, or do i cut it, and connect all 3 wires? (2 ends that i cut apart and the wire i need to attach)

They do make such things as splice clips.It makes so you don't have to remove any wires.But if you remove the clip later on, the wire should be re wrapped, or heat wrapped.

ok, good to know, so i just splice in the wire, not cut it completely and attach it to the LC1?

You can.

I would not cut any wire out myself.I would take a wire from the harness attatch wideband, and re-attatch.

Or simple splice into it.

I always use wire strippers to cut back a price of the wire Casing but not cut the whole wire. Then I use a pick to make a hole in the wire and then insert the spliced wire Into that hole. Twist it around and then heat shrink the wires. A zip tie is good to put over the splice too so it's harder to pull the wire out
