Hello, where can I find wiring diagrams on how to wire the VSS to the ECU. I have a 1G 63T swap on a Mitsu Celeste body (Plymouth Arrow). Since I'm using the stock tranny and guages of the celeste I'm using the old cable type speedo.

The problem I'm having now is similar to what is mentioned here http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=265283&highlight=no+speed+sensor

Stumbling and occasional stalling during deceleration / stoplight... so I'm thinking this must be due to the VSS since it idles fine and runs fine. My ECU isn't rechipped and I'm still using the stock 1G MAF (not hacked).

I can get my hands on speed sensors used by taximeters but what I'm missing is how to wire them to the ECU so that the ECU reads it correctly.

Thanks for the links.

Wanted to keep the "stock look" on the car that's why I kept the old guages.

How does the ECU interpret the VSS feedback? Is it a simple is the car running or not running (just like the stutterbox)? or are there different behaviors at different speeds?

Because if its just a simple running / not running signal I don't think we would need the signal converters... but maybe we need to disable the 180km/h speed limit on the ECU since it might be sending the wrong speed signal (i.e. 180km/h signal @ 100km/h). :) hehe I'll be rechipping this thing after I get things to run smoothly "stock" anyway so that isn't much of a problem.
