How much of a difference does a FMIC make?

This guy told me that my GSX with the current mods should be running in the mid-high 13's maybe even 14's. He said with the FMIC I would be in the low 13's for sure.

Does a FMIC really make that much of a difference?

Where should I be running with my mods? (check profile)

How much boost are you running? And how big of an intercooler were you thinking of going?

Joe, the kind of question you're asking is considered bench racing; there's NO way we can tell you what you'll run just by looking at your mod list. For example... see MY mod list and look at MY timeslip. Granted, that was before the engine and drivetrain work, but when I got to the track the first time, I thought "With my mods (then a 14b, intake, exhaust, MBC, etc.), I should be able to run a 13." Yeah.. that didn't happen.

Does a FMIC make a difference? Depends on a lot of things: ambient temperature that day, how efficient the FMIC is, what size and length of piping, what turbo, what psi, what pressure drop, what restrictions in the intake tract, etc. There's no simple universal answer such as "Yes, a FMIC will increase HP by 10, torque by 7, and make your car .4 seconds faster in the 1/4 mile."
