Ok so I have a walbro 190 fuel pump but the rest of my fuel system is stock, what I'm wanting to know is how much can I turn up the boost safely with the fuel pump in? With the stock fuel pump I was running 15psi just fine.. I currently have my boost at around 13-14psi, my current mod list is updated in my profile.

Leave it at 14 till you get a logger, injectors, FPR, and some sort of fuel control.

I ran 18psi on my 450s with a 14b and walbro 190, but it's not about psi, it's about airflow. You're still running stock exhaust so you're probably just fine at 18 or 19psi, wouldn't surprise me one bit. I personally would turn it up to at least 16. Get a logger so you can see your injector duty cycle and bump it up higher after that.

Well once I do decide to up the boost I'll be hooking my car up to a logger to do it right, I'm not a stupid DSM'er and I do need my car so I'm not planning on blowing it up haha.

If you NEED your car. I would remove your MBC and run WG pressure only. Keep your mods to a min. Air filter, exaust.
Buy another car to get you around for when you blow up your DSM.. and you will blow it up if you mod it and DD it. Then after you purchase your beater start to turn up your boost. This way you won't be compleatly skrewed when your car dies. It's hard to fix a busted DSM after you lose your job because you can't make it to work.

I'm not worried about it blowing up anytime soon, head was just rebuilt 4k miles ago with balance shafts eliminated and arp headstuds and cometic head gasket. Got the pump installed, it was a easy except for having to go buy flare wrenches and spray that line about 6 times with pb buster and letting it soak.

Just do things the right way and you'll be fine.

Please don't give out incorrect opinions like that. Many many dsmers have heavily modded cars that are DD and have no problems like that. If everything is done correctly the first time, logged and managed, their is no reason a high horsepower dsm can't be a DD.

Ok well another question I have is... I have the pump installed, my trunk is gutted and the fuel pump is really loud and when I start to go its like I can hear it sucking fuel or building fuel pressure. I checked everything with the car running and no leaks or anything so I'm guessing this is normal? Also, I was sitting at the light with my turn signal on and I could hear my turn signal stealing power from my fuel pump everytime it blinked so I guess its time for a re-wire LOL.

O and I checked my boost before the install, it holds pretty steady at 15psi and then drops to about 13psi once I get higher up in the RPMS.

have you rewired the pump?
stock wiring generally isn't enough for an upgraded pump.
and can make the pump whine pretty loud.

I'm at 17psi now and then it tapers down to about 14psi so I'm happy, pulls like a freight train now. Didn't think I would feel much of a difference with 2psi.. LOL

I'm excited to see the difference when I get my turboback, everyone says you gain a crap ton of power on the butt dyno with exhaust. Right now my car just feels like the boost hits super hard and sticks me into my seat, very impressed with the minimal amount of mods I have. Still pulls nothing like my Evo though sadly :( LOL

What I'm wondering is can I use EvoScan to log my car? Or will it not work since I think its only a OBDII logging software. And what could I use to log besides a palm? Because I can use my fiance's laptop I just need to know what chord and software to use.. And so I should be ok at 17psi right now? I don't even really floor my car that much, just getting on the freeway etc. I don't beat it on daily.

You're not going to run out of fuel with those mods at that boost level so tuning/logging isn't a problem at all right now. The problem comes on from excessive heat in the cylinders (running too lean will cause this too)

And yes you'll feel a huge difference with a turbo back exhaust at that boost level...... huge difference.

I was running 27-28psi spikes on a 16g with a rewired Denso 150lph pump, never leaned out.

Put a 60-1 on, anything over 21psi would lean out bad.

This was all with bigger injectors of course.
