So, long story short is that my fuel pump went and I figured I'd get the Walbro 190 since I plan on doing a build here shortly. I have a 95 Talon ESi w/ basic bolt-ons, and everything else stock.

My problem is that it runs really REALLY rich. I'm sure you guys could have guessed. I did some reading and found somewhere that without rewiring, the 190 doesnt flow that much more than stock. Anyways, I need some opinions. I was thinking of getting an AFPR but I am unsure how much work it takes to install (only 21 still learning how to work on cars) or just run rich until I rebuild.

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks for the fast response. Is the only way to trim it with an AFPR? I'm guessing it's too much flow for the ECU to compensate for.

I am guessing your fuel pressure regulator is being way over run because of the difference in pumps. I'd imagine the difference between a NT pump and a turbo pump and their regulators would be so great the regulator just can't keep a good AFR.

I can't say for sure for a NT, but in a turbo DSM application you would correct it with a FPR.

Anyway, like the previous user said I'd not run it while it's running rich and for the same reason.

Well not exactly a fpr will only control your fuel preasure you cannot over run your stock fpr on a 190.. A 255 needs a fpr most commonly. You need to probably run stock injectors until you get some way to trim it out.. like link or something.
