Walbro 190

a bit of a confusion...if the walbro 190 is the same for 1g dsm as it is for a GVR4? any modifications necessary, or do I just need to buy one for a GVR4 specifically? I believe my stock pump died, and would like to upgrade...i see the 255s are so avail, but i dont want to deal w dialing in the fuel pressure right now.

My install on the wally 190 i put in last fall was pretty much plug and play(94 tsi). I bought it as the 190 install kit for like $90 I believe

i meant if the parts are interchangeable between cars without modifying

Yes they are exactly the same.

FYI: The fuel sending units are different though. The DSM sending unit is longer than the GVR4. You can modify the DSM sending unit to work, but I'm not sure if the fuel gauge will be correct. Check out Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 Forum - E39A 4G63, there is a write up on how to modify the DSM sending unit.
