Basically, my cars about to get tuned, but since I only have one 255 wally, ive decided just to run pump gas. So my question, how much boost am i limited to on 93 octane on an hx35?

Nobody can answer this for you.

Intake air temps, intercooler efficiency....there are TONS of varaibles that will determine the limit on pump gas.

A good friend of mine ran 11.14 @ 133 using 93 octane pump fuel with a HY35 at 33psi, and that was around the limit. That is around 500-550whp, depending on the dyno.

You can run as much boost as your turbo/engine can produce.

Now, How much boost is it intelligent to run? Only you can answer that. Run boost/timing until you see knock. Then take it back 1 step.

Yes, yes i know... bench racing. But i started this more of to see what other people have maxed these turbos out to on pump, not for "how much can i make with this setup?!"

Like others said...as much boost as YOUR motor will take. (By take I mean as much boost as your willing to run threw your motor, with a tune you feel safe driving the car with. Be it 10 psi or 30, every car is different).

If you havn't run a HX35 on pump, you shouldn't be replying. End of story.

That said, I was in the lower 30's with mine on 850's and a 255. With a garbage intercooler. My iat's were high so I couldn't run much timing and I didn't make shit for power. 115-117 traps, on E85 with 24psi I was going 120-121.

Intercooler efficiency will show up with how much power you make. The amount of boost you can actually run is more determined by what your fuel system can support. If your running 255hp, you will be right around the hi pressure relief with a 2g's 43psi bfp, and 35ish psi.

But hey, what do I know. My car is a n/t.
