How far will stock cams get me?

Just curious how far (power and 1/4 mile times) stock cams will take me? I recently did an engine rebuild and had the head all reconditioned but it stock. How far will the cams, or anything stock in the head, take me?
 
Well its not a definite things.. Theres a lot that plays into it but its more when theyll stop making power.. Stock head/cams run out of juice and become restrictive around 6400 if i remember correctly.. And thats on a 1g that is less restrictive then the 2g.. Cams will help but the head should be built to get the best out of them. Or at least ported a bit to help with flow.
 
People have Run 10's on Stock Cams...

In the end this is gonna jsut turn into Bench racing.
Besides there's to many other things that are involved in going that fast... Your going to be more limited by your 13G...
 
but for instance, my setup which is built 2.4l with all supporting mods and a fp green with stock cams. I am having trouble not knocking at like 17psi with a good knock sensor and thats dumping a good amount of fuel in. I have been told that the huge restriction with my setup is the cams. Anyone able to support that claim?

A 2.4 requires way less timing than the stock 2.0 map.

The 1g head flows better up top than the 2g head..The 2g head just adds more air velocity than tha 1g..There has been alot of debate on the issue of what outflows what stock vs stock lately..But ported the same way they will flow the same..

Like my1g said you will be more limited by the 13g than the stock cams..

My car hit 400.2hp and 415 tq and went 12.4 at 111mph that was in Denver CO which the density altitude was around 8200ft, stock cam and stock 2g intake and throttle body
 
Turboboy4 beats me, on the stock engine and cams with 91 octane and a16g I made 300/320 and ran 12.9 in the 1/4.
 
The altitude sucks up here. Doesnt help anything in the way of power. And Denver is like 2000ft lower than where I live here in laramie.
 
I went 11.95 @ 115 on 30psi from a b16g on e85. And there was a lot left in the car that day too.

Been told it would be close to 370whp and around the same amount of torque.
