How do you check fuel pressure on a N/T 93 Laser

I have a 93 2.0 DOHC Laser at our shop that won't start. Should fuel spray from the fuel rail if I remove the return hose and spin the car over? The car has a brand new fuel pump and right now I'm not getting any fuel coming out of the rail on the return side except a few drips, but there it plenty of pressure to the top side of the fuel filter. Also the car has no spark to any of the plug wires, where should I begin there?
 
Yes it should squirt fuel as you crank it. As for the crank problem, I would check the ECU for cap leaks if it's a 1g.
 
check the distributor of coil, which ever one it has, can't remeber on those 1gs
 
you have 2 coil packs on a mount. there mounted on the drivers side of the car kinda in the intake manifold. there easy to get out. go from about the drivers mirror and you should be able to see where the spark plug wires connect to the coil.

try and take the wire off the col then crank the car. if the col is good it will send a arc across to the spark plug wire. i had a wire on my 1g fall off the coil and this happened. itll tick also when it arcs across. thats why i noticed mine.

there also is the transistor pack that also is known to kill ignition. if its not the ocil i bet its this guy. its on the bottom of the list.

as for the fuel. check the vacum to the fuel pressure regulator. goes from the fuel pressure regulator which is the goldish round thing on the end of the fuel rail (drivers side) to the intake manifold i beleive( is been a while)


also i have cap replacements if it is the problem oldman stated above.

how do you knwo for sure you have pressure at the top of the fuel filter. also you can try taking the fitting off the feed end of the fuel rail and see if you have fuel through the feed line.
