How do I get this off my crank?

The dowel pin on the crank that centers the flywheel wont come out of my crank. I need it to come off because the car is an Auto and I never noticed the difference between cranks cause my last build was a 5speed car. I have been hitting it with pBlaster for the past couple days while i think of more ways to pull it out.

Can i just grind it flush with the crank?

that dowel pin was there from the factory so the crank was "balanced" with the stock flywheel. obviously you don't need it so you could grind it off but you may be a few grams off balance(not a big deal until 9000rpms).

I would have not ground it flat, that seems like trouble. The easiest way to get it out is jam a whole bunch of wet toilet paper inside of the pilot bushing. Smack that with a dowel or extension. After a certain point wet toilet paper becomes incompressable and will force the bushing out. You may need to add more until you end up with a big blob of paper to take out.

That thing is called crankshaft bushing. You can pull it out. You just need to be patient in doing so.

That would be great if he were putting an auto crank into a 5-speed. He is putting a 5-speed crank in an auto, and needs to remove the flywheel pin, and install the flexplate bushing.

Both cranks are the same with the manual and auto. There is just a bushing on the crank for automatics that you can add or take out.
